The current WWE Diva's division is in disarray. Call it lack of talent or call it creative lacking, but it's hard to find a good women's match in the WWE these days.

Judging from the current talent pool, there is some potential to turn around the division. The creative team just needs to kick in some good storylines and allow them to wrestle for more than a minute.

Here are the top five women in the WWE by in-ring ability.

No. 5: Eve Torres

As of late, Eve's role on Raw and Smackdown has been administrative, but she is actually a decent wrestler.

Her background in jiu-jitsu has helped her transition into professional wrestling. I have even seen her use jiu-jitsu holds in some of her matches, including a modified triangle choke.

If she continues to work on her wrestling skills, she could be a very entertaining performer. Good looks and good skills are huge in the world of pro wrestling.

No. 4: AJ Lee

Speaking of taking an administrative role, AJ Lee is the new general manager of Raw. That doesn't mean she is not a good in-ring wrestler.

Trained by the flashy Jay Lethal, it's not hard to see why she has such an impressive arsenal of moves. She utilizes the Shining Wizard, Octopus Hold and Shiranui, which are all flashy moves.

It's rare to see her wrestle these days, but she's usually impressive when she is in the ring.

No. 3: Layla El

The current Diva's Champion is actually a very improved in-ring performer. The former member of LayCool is comparable to Trish Stratus in that she has committed herself to drastically improving her abilities.

Layla is a former dancer who came to the WWE and is taking the necessary steps to be the best she can be. But like most Divas, she cannot get much television time these days.

She is a great champion, but her reign has been pretty forgettable so far. It's not her fault, though; it's creative's for not allowing her to do her thing.

No. 2: Natalya Neidhart

The daughter of Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Natalya is one of the best female wrestlers in the business today. Too bad she does not get the attention or respect that she deserves from the WWE.

She has the tools to be a top female heel in the company. She plays the cocky heel very well when she does it, so giving her a run at the Diva's championship would be a great idea.

Hearing her come out to Bret Hart's old song is very cool as well, as the song is a great wrestling song.

No. 1: Beth Phoenix

No surprise here; Beth Phoenix is the best in-ring performer the WWE currently has in the Diva's division.

Phoenix held the Diva's championship for a long time before dropping it to one of the Bella Twins on an episode of Raw. Since then, she is rarely seen on TV and sometimes gets short matches on pay-per-views.

That is no way to treat the strongest, most powerful woman on the roster now that Kharma is no longer in the WWE. I guess it doesn't matter if you are the best performer if you can't even get a match on USA or SciFi.
