Alex Livesey/Getty Images's Harry Harris is reporting that Manchester United is close to adding Brazil's Lucas Moura.

The signing would cost Man U £30 million, but would undoubtedly help improve the team's roster. The Red Devils have been looking to improve the midfield position and Moura would be a significant upgrade.

Sir Alex has been trying to get Moura, but Manchester City was also linked to the Brazilian star. City won the English Premier League championship last season, so it is important for Man U to get the deal done as soon as possible. Not only would this improve the team's roster, but it would also keep Moura from joining City.

According to Harris, Man U has also been linked to Arsenal star Robin van Persie. While Van Persie is still an option, Moura would give the team a young and versatile player.

The team aggressively pursued the 19-year-old player, and will likely come away with a great addition.

Although he is a midfielder, Moura has the ability to be an attacker. He would fit in nicely with Man U, improving the team's offensive attack.

The Red Devils had a chance to win the EPL title, but fell short of their goal. The team is still in pursuit of Van Persie and would become the favorite to win the title if they were able to sign the star striker.

With the possible addition of Moura, Man U would improve its roster and be poised to overtake its rivals for best in the EPL.
