Yes, I know the title sounds a bit ridiculous.

However, the fact is Khali is currently recovering from serious surgery. As WrestleZone.com reported about a month ago, Khali had to undergo brain surgery to remove a tumor.

Now, it appears "The Punjabi Playboy" is ready to get back on TV, as WrestlingInc.com reports:

The Great Khali was released from a hospital this week and is back home in Texas. He's expected back with WWE by Survivor Series.

This is big news for Khali, as brain surgery can take a lot out of people and the fact that he may be ready to return for "The Thanksgiving Tradition" is great for him. Don't get me wrong, I am far from a Khali fan. However, I don't wish to see anyone suffer any sort of physical or mental setback.

At this point, I can't even imagine where the WWE could fit him in today's story-lines. Think about it, other than backstage parody segments or something along those lines, there really is no role for Khali in today's WWE. Ultimately, Khali has never lived up to the expectations set by the company.

When he debuted in 2006, he was being pushed as a monster heel and later landed a world title run.

Sadly, his ring work left much to be desired, causing him to lose his push and become comedic fodder. Hopefully, Khali will just be used as an ambassador for the WWE. Especially considering that he is a huge celebrity in his native country, India.

In the end, Khali is 39. Adding the fact that he is injury prone doesn't bode well for much more ring time for the giant. Ultimately, we have roughly four months left before his return, so both he and the WWE can figure out where his character goes from here.
