With rumors swirling the New York Rangers for the past few weeks, it is official that the New York Rangers have fired head coach Tom Renney due to the teams recent performance.

The Rangers have lost 10 of their last 12 and just seem to be a totally different team in these last two months. The Rangers are currently in a tie for fifth place in the Eastern Conference, but they sit only two points ahead of ninth-place Carolina in a tight playoff race.

Tom Renney leaves with a 31-23-7 record this season.
