Usain Bolt Girlfriend: Pics of Ex Lubica Slovak He Dumped Before Olympics

Usain Bolt better bring back gold from London, because he broke up with his girlfriend specifically to concentrate on the Summer Games.

At least, that's what he had to say about the matter earlier this year.

Week 2 in London gives us a whole new set of faces and plot points. Among the best is  Bolt and his pursuit to relive the brilliance he showed in Beijing.

In one corner will be his countryman and rival sprinter Yohan Blake, who beat him in both the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints at the Jamaica trials.

One person who shouldn't be there is former girlfriend Lubica Slovak.

The Daily Mail reported back in May that Bolt decided to part with his long-time girlfriend because he didn't want his mind wandering in the lead up to the all-important Olympics

Unfortunately, it may also be the criticism the two suffered because of their relationship that did them in.

They (Lubica and Bolt) were said to be 'very comfortable together' and to favour quiet dinners over showbiz functions. But they received a barrage of abuse after a picture of them kissing was published last month.

A source close to Bolt told The Sun: ‘He will have plenty of time for relationships. At the moment he’s concentrating on his running career and doesn’t want anything to distract from that.’

We certainly hope the relationship ended more on accord of Bolt's feelings than criticism made. It's simply no interest to outside parties.

With that being said, he enters London unfettered. Now to see if that was the right call all along.
