Nathan Adrian bolted into the hearts of every Olympic fan across the nation, and there is still hope out there for would-be suitors of the 100-meter dynamo who took home gold.

All of the talk has remained on Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps. Even in the 100-meter final, Australian James Magnussen was the highlight prior to the swimmers getting on the blocks.

That all changed once the race ended, and it was clear how likable this guy was, via USA Today

I don't like to put pressure on myself so I don't like to think about it as the Olympics, so you could probably tell on my face, 'Oh, sweet, I won the heat!' It took a minute and I was like, 'This is the Olympics.' It was a moment of disbelief.

All the while, he wore a smile that was ear-to-ear, rivaling the best grinning efforts of even Gabby Douglas.

It was very easy to root for him.

Even my wife was taken aback by this affable, sweet and genuinely ecstatic swimmer who had only hoped to reach the podium.

The national discussion will of course meander over to his status. Who is this genuine and warm superstar dating? If you believe Zimbio, it's nobody.

Well, guess what, gals: He's single! As far as anyone can tell. There's no evidence of a love interest on the interwebs (keeper of all things about athlete's relationships), and he hasn't been photographed with any gals at the games so far.

A quick dive into this Twitter feed @NathanGAdrian doesn't reveal too much either. So, it seems the man who sprinted to glory over an Australian favorite may, in fact, be single.

Athletes are often fond of going solo headed into the Olympics, and such measures may have just paid off for Adrian.

Sit back and enjoy it all, Adrian. Oh, and Go Bears!
