After two games in the group-play round of Olympic men's basketball, gold medal favorite Team USA is 2-0, winning its games against France and Tunisia by a combined score of 208-134. Yet despite the lopsided scores, Team USA played questionably in both games, getting off to slow starts before punishing their opponents in the second halves.

Despite the early hiccups, Team USA is expected to continue its march to gold through the two remaining games of group play and into the medal rounds. But Team USA is still expected to face some stiff competition. Brazil and Russia each looked strong in their opening games, and the Spanish team knocked off China and Australia to go 2-0.

NBC Sports Network will broadcast the first two quarterfinal games consecutively between 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. EDT, and the second two quarterfinal games between 3:00-7:15 p.m. EDT.

The semifinal round will be played on Friday, August 10. The first semifinal game will be broadcast on both the NBC Sports Network and NBC Basketball Channel from 12:00-2:00 p.m. EDT. The gold-medal game begins at 10:00 a.m. EDT and will be broadcast live on NBC from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. EDT. The game will also be played on NBC Basketball Channel from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. EDT. The game will immediately be replayed twice on NBC Basketball at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. EDT.
