Over the past few weeks, speculation has been flying around regarding the WWE future of veteran wrestler Chris Jericho, with reports surfacing that the star is due to be finishing up his current run soon.
Jericho has had an interesting time of it as of late: After returning from his 30-day suspension over the infamous flag incident in Brazil, the long-term heel turned babyface and is currently embroiled in a grudge feud with Dolph Ziggler.
In an update over at PWinsider.com, Mike Johnson notes that Jericho will indeed be finishing up in the next few weeks to spend more time on his rock group, Fozzy (the band are about to embark on a large number of tour dates which will run through to the end of the year).
Chris Jericho's final date with WWE will be Tuesday 8/14, which would be a Smackdown taping in Austin, Texas.
Jericho is not slated to return to the company in any capacity until he is done with all Fozzy promotional work and concert dates.
It had been speculated that Jericho and Ziggler would face off in a bout at SummerSlam on August 19, although this recent reports indicates this may not be the case, with Jericho gone days before then.
