90+5'—FULLTIME! Butland catches a free-kick from Suarez and with that comes the final whistle. It means Team GB are through to a quarterfinal against South Korea on Saturday. Uruguay are going home. Thanks for joining me and be sure to look out for our raft of reaction content, along with plenty of preview material for both the men's and women's quarters.
90+4'—RAMIREZ HITS THE BAR! So close to a dramatic late goal for Uruguay, as Ramirez smashes a shot against the bar from distance. They need a win though, so it wouldn't have been enough.
90+3'—One minute left and it's GB pressing. Ramsey and Rose linking on the left, but eventually Ramsey puts the ball out so a Uruguay player can receive treatment.
90'—SUB: Cork replaces Sinclair as GB make a late change.
89'—Butland with a hugely impressive claim in the air to end a period of Uruguay pressure.

86'—CHANCE FOR STURRIDGE! Uruguay are pushing forward in numbers and leave a huge hole for Sturridge to run into. Eventually a couple of defenders close him down, but Sturridge still draws a good save from Campana
84'—Ramsey tries his luck with a piledriver from 25 yards on the angle. Not this time.
82'—Sinclair's cross reaches Rose at the far post. He tries to get the ball back across to Sturridge, but Uruguay get their first and clear. Another yellow for Uruguay, this time Arias for a nasty tackle.
79'—CHANGE FOR GB: Rose replaces captain Bellamy for Pearce's team. Bellamy takes his time passing the armband to Richards, prompting an angry reaction from Cavani.
77'—GB's possession number for the match is at 64 percent. Uruguay have had three shots on goal to GB's five.
74'—Free-kick to Uruguay, 30 yards out. Ramirez lines it up and goes for goal, but Cleverley's head gets in the way. Uruguay come straight back at them, but Suarez once again gets caught for handball as he grabs at the ball in mid fall. This time he goes in the book.
71'—Nice link play between Ramirez and Cavani, but Ramirez wastes the return pass with a wild blaze over the bar. Uruguay are running out of time.
69'—Suarez penalized for handball. That's happened before I seem to remember.
66'—Taylor tries a curler from the right corner of the box. Nice idea, but he started the shot too far outside the post.

64'—BUTLAND AGAIN TO THE RESCUE! Suarez once again finds space inside the GB box. This time he shoots low across Butland and the keeper once again has the answer. Cavani rushes in to pounce on the rebound, but the angle is too tight for him.
62'—Taylor with a sublime ball to set Bellamy away and the GB captain wins his team a corner. Ramsey goes short, gets it back and his clipped ball almost finds Richards at the far post.
59'—CHANGE FOR URUGUAY: Lodeiro of Ajax comes on to replace Viudez.
58'—Chance now at the other end. Sturridge cuts in from left but he can't squeeze a shot home past Campana.

50: OLYMPICS GOAL Senegal 1 UAE 1 Moussa Konate strikes again for Senegal, his fourth goal of the Games
— FOX Soccer Trax (@FOXSoccerTrax) August 1, 2012
54'—SUAREZ DENIED BY BUTLAND! Suddenly Suarez finds himself clean on goal and with a glorious chance to level. But Butland is alert to the danger and rushes out to make the save. Great goalkeeping from the young Birmingham stopper.

53'—Sinclair with a jinking run in from the left, but there's no way though. Soon after Ramsey's shot is saved well, low to his right by Campana.
50'—Good start to the second half from GB, who've upped the momentum a little here. Cleverley and Bellamy in particular impressing. No sooner have I typed that, than Coates goes in the book for a foul on Cleverley.
47'—Bellamy sent roaring away down the right. His cross is perfect for Sturridge at the far post, who nods the ball back across for Sinclair... WHO MISSES! No matter, Bellamy was offside in the first place.
46'—And away we go with the second half. Bearing in mind the UAE are leading Senegal 1-0, Uruguay have no choice but to go all-out for goals here now.
45+1'—HALFTIME! There's the whistle and Team GB go into the break with a 1-0 lead. Far from a great first half, but Stuart Pearce won't care about that.
45'—GOAL TEAM GB!!! Lovely build up and goal for the hosts! Sinclair finds Allen, who turns sharply to play in Sturridge for a simple tap-in. Clinical stuff, and GB are thoroughly deserving of their lead.
