FINAL
REAL MADRID 5
Gonzalo Higuain 2'
Angel Di Maria 11'
Jose Callejon 36'
Alvaro Morata 49'
Jese Rodriguez 84'
LOS ANGELES GALAXY 1
David Junior Lopes 23'
90' - So, will there be any stoppage time? Or will that be that? One more run for Real. No dice. That's it.
89' - Cristiano Ronaldo will not be happy about scoring zero goals this match. Then again, neither will Karim Benzema. Well, the two of them only had 45 to work with.
88' - Brian Perk with the collection. Real Madrid is offsides.
87' - It's a corner for Real Madrid. That is cleared. The Galaxy can sometimes be their own worst enemy defensively. To think that this team is only in preseason form...you've been warned, Europe.
86' - What a save from Brian Perk! Best save of the night, on an overhead kick from Cristiano Ronaldo. And that almost went in. That took too long to develop. That should have been 6-1 Real.
85' - It's an improved performance offensively from Real, but they can be their own worst enemy at times defensively.
84' - GOAL! Real Madrid 28 Jese Rodriguez
Well that is just rubbing it in right there. it's 5-1 Real Madrid on the Jese goal.
83' - Boyens plays it forward. That almost was a bad giveaway. But here's a badf one. Jese Rodriguez nearly forced an own goal. Corner for Real. Mesut Ozil to take. It's cleared.
82' - Garbage time for those two players. And Cristiano Ronaldo has yet to score in this match. What a surprise. Magee with a bad touch. Arbeloa with the clearance.
81' - Substitutions Real Madrid
IN 25 Jesus Fernandez
28 Jese Rodriguez
OUT 13 Antonio Adan
23 Alvaro Morata
80' - CR7 called for offsides. Now here's Mike Magee. Well, if you were to place Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur on the same pitch, I can tell you that Real Madrid will win, hands down.
79' - Have to put more pace on that shot, Karim...
Substitution Los Angeles Galaxy
IN 32 Jack McBean
OUT 11 Pat Noonan
Another save for Perk. A little backheel there.
78' - And here come Real on the attack. Throw-in for Los Blancos. This is Alvaro Arbeloa. Sami Khedira now. A chance for Karim Benzema, but Brian Perk makes the save.
77' - 30,317 in attendance. A new Home Depot Center record. No surprise. It's Real Madrid the Galaxy were facing, after all.
76' - Well, if this score holds up, it's essentially the same score as last year. Or, it may not. Benzema. And Ronaldo with some more touches. That was trouble. Garcia had to clear that one out.
75' - And that is why you are a backup and not a starter, Brian Perk. Ronaldo again. Some fancy footwork, but it amounts to nothing.
74' - Quick restart from Real. Cristiano Ronaldo now. That's too high, and Brian Perk being a bit too cute with the ball.
73' - Some boos from the Real fans. Guess we won't be seeing these one-timers at a Galaxy match. Free kick from outside the box. High and over, that's a goal kick.
72' - Goal kick for Brian Perk. LA, as expected, have been on the defensive this match. A chance for LA is swept up by the Real backline.
71' - This is Pat Noonan. But Pepe wins the ball back. It's going to be a ball possession war these next few minutes. Andrew Boyens holds back the white tide.
70' - Mike Magee with a run. And he is nutmegged, much to his chagrin. Hope that doesn't happen against Seattle on Sunday.
69' - Morata. Pepe now. Granero plays it back. Everyone getting a touch in this Real Madrid sequence, but LA win it back, if temporarily. Here is Morata.
