Diego Sanchez succeeded in his lightweight debut yesterday during London, England's UFC 95 event in the 02 Arena. After three rounds in the main event, Diego was announced as the unanimous decision winner over Joe Stevenson.

The bout between the two former TUF champs rightfully earned the honours of "Fight of the Night" as they showcased a back and fourth, stand up battle for MMA fans across the globe.

After each exchange it was clear Diego was landing the better shots on his opponent but that didn't stop Joe from staying aggressive and moving forward. Diego defiantly looked good at lightweight and defeated a tough fighter but Sanchez didn't look impressive at 155.

Perhaps the weight adjustment was a bit challenging for him in his debut but Sanchez won't beat top five lightweights if he comes in like he did at UFC 95.

Another tough loss for Joe "Daddy", maybe a move to the WEC's talent loaded featherweight division might be on the horizon for the 26 year old.
