The Star-Tribune's source suggest the deal guarantees Crede $2.5MM, but could pay him up to $7MM depending on how many plate appearances he makes. The incentives start at 250 PAs and continue until Crede comes to bat for the 525th time.

Now, honestly what in the world goes through a GM's mind and says "Hey let's let Joe Crede go and play for are rival team the Twins." Yes, the Minnesota Twins signed Joe Crede to this contract. If I was the White Soxs I would have never let him go plus they are most likely singing
