Bracketbuster in Omaha

Tonight, the Mason basketball team plays the Creighton Jays at Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb.

Mason (18-8, 11-5 CAA) has a two-game win streak. Last time out, the Patriots squeeked out a 49-48 thrilling victory over the Drexel Dragons. Darryl Monroe's lay-up with 7.5 seconds to go gave Mason their 15th-straight win at home.

Creighton (22-6, 12-4 MVC) is tied with Northern Iowa atop the Missouri Valley Conference standings and are riding a seven-game win streak. The Jays are 13-2 at home this season and are averaging just over 75 points per game.

Booker Woodfox is averaging 15.9 points for Creighton and P'Allen Stinnett is scoring 12.7 points, respectively.

Mason is led by John Vaughan, Cam Long, and Darryl Monroe, who collectively average 34.3 points a game. Mason only allows 60.1 points a game, which is the 25th-best in the NCAA, best in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Tip-off is set for 9:30 p.m. and is being televised on ESPNU.
