Ohio State Football Recruiting: Buckeyes Land 3-Star Guard Tim Gardner

Following the highly successful Friday Night Lights event that Urban Meyer and his staff held for high school recruits, the Ohio State Buckeyes have landed their 16th commitment of the 2013 class. According to Marc Givler of Rivals, offensive guard, Tim Gardner has officially committed to Ohio State.

The product out of Indianapolis is rated as a 3-star prospect by Rivals and the 76th-best offensive tackle by 247sports. At 6'5", 340 pounds, Gardner certainly has the size to play at the next level and may even need to slim down a bit in order to be a successful offensive lineman in Meyer's offense.

Gardner is the 16th commitment and the second offensive linemen of the 2013 class. The new commitment will certainly add some much needed depth to the Buckeye's offensive line and with some work, could become a solid starter in his junior or senior year.
