In January of 2008 the NWA returned to national TV via Dish Network and the Colours TV network.

The TV show ran new weekly episodes until about mid-March '08 and then suddenly (due to financial reasons) ran only reruns of the first 10 episodes the remainder of the year.

That is until just recently when new episodes began airing again at the end of January 2009.

This time, the show is taped at a Hollywood TV studio in front of a small audience. It reminds me alot of the old "studio wrestling" of the '70s and early '80s (remember the old Saturday night NWA shows on WTBS?).

The players this time out include...

Blue Demon Jr., the current NWA champion

The Skull Krushers, the NWA tag team champions

Mike DiBiase, the NWA North American Champion

The Young Bucks (a young team who definitely have a chance to make it to the WWE one day if they ever resurrect their sickly tag team division.)

and The Border Patrol (three men who don't like anyone that isn't from the U.S.A.).

Other familiar names include Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade (formerly of the WWE) and King V (formerly Mabel/Big Daddy V in the WWE.)

Check it out if you get the chance, the show airs Friday nights at 6 p.m. on Colours TV, Dish Network channel 9407.
