Day 6 of Olympic water polo is in the books. The eye-opener was an 11-11 tie between Montenegro and gold-medal favorite Serbia, which can possibly turn the tide for the top spot in Group B. The U.S. beat bottom-dweller Great Britain 13-7 to remain perfect and move to the top of Group B standings with six points. Serbia is a close second with five and a plus-28 goal spread.

The toughest matches for the U.S. approach, as they face Serbia next and close group play against three-time defending champion Hungary, who beat a physical Romania squad 17-15 to earn its first win in group play.

The match between Serbia and the U.S. is expected to be a clash of styles, as Serbia dons a high-octane offense, the best in the Olympics with 46 goals scored in three matches, as well as a massive plus-18 goal differential. The U.S. has surrendered the fewest goals in their group with 22, thanks to a defense that is capable of blanking teams for an entire quarter, fueling its offense with it.

Croatia had a convincingly strong outing to beat Italy 11-6, now sitting atop the Group A standings with six points. Spain beat Australia 13-9 despite a five-goal performance by Billy Miller. Greece rose to third place in Group A with an 11-4 win over last-place Kazakhstan, raising its goal differential to plus-five.
