LSU Opens The New Box With a Blast

A record crowd of more than 9000 watched All-American candidate Blake Dean hit the first home run at the new ballpark as the No. 1 ranked LSU Tigers christened Alex Box Stadium with a 12-3 victory over Villanova. Dean drove in 3 runs as did two sport star OF Jared Mitchell.

Fellow All-American candidate pitcher Louis Coleman tossed out the first pitch, struck out eight through five scoreless innings, and garnered the win.

While the fans certainly celebrated the win, the star of the night was the new baseball stadium, Alex Box Stadium.
