Olympic Weightlifting 2012: Day 9 Results, Schedule & Analysis
China's Lulu Zhou lifted her way to gold in a tight record-breaking day at the Women's +75 kilograms class.
Zhou bested Russia's Tatiana Kashirina by a kilo, after breaking a world record in total weight with 333 kilograms and setting an Olympic record of 187 kilograms in the clean and jerk (world record is also 187, held by South Korean Mi-Ran Jang in 2009).
Kashirina, who took home the silver, also had a world record of her own, lifting 151 kilograms in the snatch, five better than Zhou.
Armenian Hripsime Khurshudyan won bronze, though she was clearly outclassed by the two contenders, as she only mustered a total of 294 kilograms.
