Do you have any superstitions? I have to admit that I do, as do many horseplayers.

I bring this up because I recently came across an interesting article on the subject of superstitions associated with horse racing written by Gary McMillen in the spring 2012 edition of the Louisiana Horse magazine.

“A gambler can do all the data management he wants, but a windblown hot dog wrapper could spook his horse in the parade to post,” McMillen wrote.
