Warning, This article contains spoilers from the NXT tapings at Full Sail University.

WWE held another round of NXT tapings at Full Sail University on Thursday and they crowned the first WWE NXT Champion.

According to the results posted at PWMania, the new Champion is none other than Indy darling Seth Rollins.

Rollins won the title by defeating Jinder Mahal in the final match in a tournament which was held to crown the first NXT Champion.

It was said that the legends and most of the roster actually watched the match from the ramp and the entire feel of the event should come across well as a televised event.

Jim Ross said on his Twitter that Rollins had a "career night."

This is a big step for the former ROH star as it is the first title he has held under the WWE brand name, which is something any young wrestler aspires to.

Rollins is not stranger to gold, though. He is an FCW Triple-Crown Champion having won the FCW Title, FCW 15 Title and the FCW Tag Titles with Richie Steamboat.

At the young age of 26, Rollins has a very long career ahead of him as long as he stays uninjured and healthy.

When looking at the picture of Rollins I cannot help but think back to CM Punk in his early WWE days as he won the ECW Championship for the first time.

It is great to hear that Rollins not only won, but was able to do it by going over somebody who is a member of the main roster.

Congratulations to Colby Lopez AKA Seth Rollins on becoming the first ever NXT Champion. Check out a photo of him below with the new belt courtesy of Sescoops.com.
