'Maxim' and Microsoft's Back to School Pool Party and 'Halo 4' Preview: BR5

Welcome to BR5, your daily source for sports and pop culture news.

It’s almost August, and you know what that means, kiddos: back to school. Usually back-to-school events are at an office supply store where you can get notebooks and pencils at low prices. BR5 got into the back-to-school spirit by attending the Microsoft & Maxim Back to School Party.

It was awesome, to say the least.

While hanging out with scores of Maxim’s models—including April Rose, the host of Maximum Exposure—we hit them up with all sorts of sports-related questions, including what they're looking forward to during the Olympics, predictions they have concerning the Games, whether they prefer Phelps or Lochte/Durant or LeBron and who their athlete crush is.

We also caught up with Maxim’s editor-in-chief Dan Bova, who talked sports and also gave us some great info on the magazine’s September issue that will feature Bar Refaeli.

Along with hanging around some of Maxim’s finest, we got a sneak peek at a couple of games releasing soon.

First, we got a look at Resident Evil 6, which looks like it will not disappoint. With all sorts of new features and games modes, this looks like a must-have for gamers who love the series.

We also got a good look at Halo 4, which will be releasing in the near future and looks as incredible as the previous installments of the series. Needless to say, between the sweet games and the awesome models, this party was incredible.
