Dave's College Basketball Picks, Feb. 21: Austin Peay at Drake

Austin Peay got by Jacksonville State, 72-60, on Tuesday to remain just one game back in the Ohio Valley standings. Jacksonville State had no answer for Drake Reed, who scored a game-high 30 points to go with 14 boards. The Governors play this out-of-conference “Bracket Buster” game on Saturday before concluding their regular season with two very winnable games to conclude the regular season.

Drake knocked of Missouri Valley leader Northern Iowa on the road Wednesday to move into a three-way tie for fifth place in the conference. It was a pretty ugly game with only two players in double figures, neither team shooting 40 percent from the field, and 37 total turnovers between the two squads. It was the second straight game that the Bulldogs had scored fewer than 50 points.
