Velvet Sky recently confirmed her TNA release through her official Twitter by posting the following message:

I have been granted my release by TNA at this time. It's what's best for me right now and I wanted to thank TNA and ... tmi.me/ubTl2

While this is certainly a blow to the Knockouts division, its loss could be WWE's gain.

Velvet Sky is one of the most beautiful women to ever step through the ropes, which makes her perfect for the Divas division. But more importantly, she is talented in the ring.

Velvet has gained most of her experience inside a TNA ring, where the women are known to be much more competitive than in WWE. The matches are longer, featured more prominently and show the women doing a lot more physical performances than we are used to seeing from the Divas.

Between her looks and her talent, there is very little reason why WWE should not be knocking down this woman's door with an offer that makes her TNA salary look like minimum wage. Not only can Velvet bring some competitiveness to the ring, but she would be an incredible ambassador for WWE.

WWE uses women like Kelly Kelly, Eve and Alicia Fox for a lot of its activities outside of WWE because of their charisma and beauty. Velvet has that same charisma and beauty, and adding her to the Divas division could only serve to help WWE.

With the loss of The Bellas, Kelly Kelly taking a reduced schedule and Kharma no longer being there to beat down on everyone, it would seem that WWE could use some new blood.

AJ hasn't been around all that long and is the most featured Diva, but not because of any Divas storylines. WWE needs another star in the Divas division to actually bring attention to the title.

Beth Phoenix is a great competitor, as is Natalya, but for one reason or another, they have not been used to their fullest potential.

Sky might not be able to single-handidly change the way Divas are used in WWE, but if the brass in Connecticut sees a woman who looks like her having matches the way she did in TNA, it could make a small difference.

Who knows, maybe we could see a Beautiful People reunion in WWE should it choose to also sign Angelina Love to a deal.

Only time will tell what the future has in store for Velvet Sky. But something tells me we may see her end up in a WWE ring sometime down the line.
