Gymnastics is always one of the most highly-anticipated, watched and reviewed competitions in the Olympics, and this year promises to be no different.
With the USA–China rivalry heating up more than ever following a closely contested competition in Beijing, there will be plenty of intrigue on the women's side of things.
On the men's side, the perpetually afterthought U.S. team made a splash by winning bronze in Beijing, and head to London as gold medal dark-horses for the first time in a long time.
Here's a look at America's best chance of winning a gold in every event at the Olympics.

The U.S. men are as strong as they've ever been, looking to parlay a bronze in Beijing into something even better in 2012.
But the U.S. women aren't rapidly-improving dark-horses; they're bona fide favorites to take home the gold.
Women's Individual All-Around: Jordyn Weber

Gabrielle Douglas has been coming on strong for a while, but Jordyn Weber remains the U.S.' best chance at a repeat all-around gold.
Douglas technically had a higher score at the Olympic Trials, but Weber is expected to really elevate her game in London.
Men's Individual All-Around: John Orozco

Like Weber, Orozco has stiff competition on his team in the form of bar specialist Danell Leyva.
Leyva eked out a small victory in the Olympic Trials, but Orozco is the reigning champion from the Visa Championship.
Both have a chance, but Orozco is the more balanced, consistent competitor.

Maroney won a decisive victory at the Olympic Trials, and she represents the best vaulter on the women's squad.
Women's Uneven Bars: Gabrielle Douglas

Douglas tied for the top spot at the Olympic Trials with Kyla Ross but beat her in the Visa Championship.
Jordyn Weber is good on the bars as well, but not in Douglas' league.
Women's Beam: Alexandra Raisman

Raisman is the reigning champ on the beam from both the Olympic Trial and the Visa Championships.
She will be heavily relied upon in London.
Women's Floor Exercise: Alexandra Raisman

Raisman scored close-but-impressive victories at both the Visa Championships and the Olympic Trials.
She, Weber and Douglas all perform very well on the floor, finishing 1-2-3 in both events.
Men's Floor: Jacob Dalton

Dalton finished with the top score on the floor at both the Visa Championships and the Olympic Trials.
John Orozco and Danell Leyva both put up respectable scores, but Dalton is clearly the top dog.
Men's Pommel Horse: John Orozco

A close call between Orozco and Leyva. Orozco finished .150 ahead of Leyva for third at the Visa Championships, but Leyva bested Orozco by .050 at the Olympic Trials.
Alex Naddour finished tops at both events, but he is only an alternate on the Olympic team.
Men's Rings: Jonathan Horton

Horton has never looked the same after a foot injury, and while he's no longer America's top option for all-around gold, he's still useful on the rings.
He took the top spot at both the Visa Championship and Olympic Trials.
Men's Vault: Jacob Dalton

Dalton tied for first with Steve Sender at the Visa Championship, but he blew away the competition with a 64.850 score at the Olympic Trials.
Men's Parallel Bars: Danell Leyva

Leyva murdered the competition at the Olympic Trial, finishing with a score of 63.550.
Jonathan Horton finished second with a 61.750 and Orozco came in third with a 60.750.
Men's Horizontal Bars: Danell Leyva

Leyva's dominance on the bars extends to the horizontals, where he's bested John Orzoco by a decent margin at both the Visa Championships and Olympic Trials.
