This one is for those of you that have been clambering for "The Viper's" WWE return.
According to WrestlingInc.com:
Randy Orton is scheduled to return to WWE TV next week during RAW from Cincinnati, OH. Orton is also scheduled for the SmackDown tapings in Indianapolis, IN.
Despite his recent suspension and reported heat with WWE management, he is expected to be pushed upon returning because of WWE's depth issues with the roster.
In case you forgot, Orton was slapped with a 60-day wellness suspension back in May, which was just weeks before Over the Limit and left WWE's creative team scrambling to fill his spot for the pay-per-view. This should have left a bad taste in the company's mouth, but it appears all is forgiven and Orton may be main-eventing sooner rather than later.
This is pretty big news for the WWE roster, as Orton's presence has been missed—especially on SmackDown. Let's face it, there is no way Orton should be brought back as a face. Especially right now, as both Raw and SmackDown have more good guys then they know what to do with.
Not to mention, Orton's face character is a bit stale compared to his heel persona. The fact is, some guys are better at being hated than cheered. I personally am not a fan of Orton's, but if he's used properly upon his return, than he could be a game-changer.
In the end, I guess we will have to tune in next Monday night to see what's in store for Orton.
