Manchester United's summer signing Shinji Kagawa scored his first goal for the club in a 1-0 friendly victory against Shenhua Shanghai.

The Japanese international midfielder—who joined United from German champions Borussia Dortmund—impressed throughout and provided the decisive moment when he converted a cross from Bebe on 68 minutes.

Kagawa was making his first start for United and put in a convincing argument that he'll be a hit at Old Trafford this season.

United signing Nick Powell also started for Sir Alex Ferguson's team, though his afternoon will be remembered most for a bad miss in the first half.
