More than ever before, the women’s game is full of world-famous stars.

American fans are well acquainted with goalkeeper Hope Solo and forwards Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan, but which of those are the players to watch this summer at the Olympics?

Wambach has scored more goals than any American player not named Mia Hamm, but this summer could be Morgan’s time to shine. Either way, Solo might actually be the player who steps up for the Americans.

But it’s not just Team USA. The Olympics will feature plenty of big names, from Homare Sawa, the star of the 2011 Women’s World Cup, to Marta, who is widely regarded as the world’s best.
