WWE Raw 1000: the Best Moment of Tonight's Episode

Shea Haney@SheaH4Correspondent IIIJuly 24, 2012

Well it finally happened—the 1000th episode of Monday Night Raw.

The night was filled a DX reunion, Bret Hart, the APA, the Undertaker, Stephanie McMahon and Lesnar, among other moments. In my opinion though the best moment came at the end of the show.

The Big Show interfered in the WWE title match between CM Punk and John Cena. The Big Show came out and knocked out John Cena. While he was knocked out, CM Punk finally decided to cover John Cena.

That is where his heel turn started.

The match continue and Big Show was tearing into John Cena again. CM Punk stood by and didn't help Cena. Punk's heel turn was continuing at that point.

The Rock finally came out and made the save and laid off the Big Show. The Rock was about to lay down the People's Elbow when CM Punk laid of the Rock with a clothesline. He delivers the GTS to the Rock.

This completed his heel turn.

The crowd gave him a mixed reaction but as Punk walked to the back the crowd's jeers became louder.

This is what CM Punk needed to remain relevant in the WWE. CM Punk will be rejuvenated as a heel and will be able to spark a great feud with The Rock. It was announced that the Rock will face the WWE Champion at the Royal Rumble. After the ending of tonight's show, it seems as if CM Punk vs. The Rock will take place in January.

This moment was probably the most unpredictable of the night. CM Punk has truly been a stellar champion, as he has kept the belt for an extended period of time. There was something though that seemed to be stale with Punk character. He was still great on the microphone but as a heel he will be able to shoot again.

He will most likely berate the fans with entertaining promos and make great segments in the months to come.
