Just when you thought, the WWE had done it all for the 1,000th episode of Raw, news is breaking that they have added more.

According to WrestleZone.com:

WZ has confirmed that legendary rock band Green Day is in St. Louis staying at the WWE hotel.

It's unknown if they will be performing in any way or if they are guests of the company.

Even though Green Day is s huge get, I am wondering why they got the nod over Nickelback. Especially considering, the Canadian bands  "Burn it to the Ground" is the theme song for Raw. Yes. I am aware that Green Day's "Know Your Enemy" is the theme for SmackDown. However, we are referring to the WWE's flagship show, so to me, the band that supplied the song for Raw should be the one in attendance.

Ultimately, one has to wonder if Green Day will be performing a new theme for Raw or if they will  just be in the audience?

Speculations aside, this appearance could solely be based on the fact the Nickelback is currently on tour and Monday night is a scheduled off day for them. This could allow for travel time or to just give the band a day to rest.

Either way, one thing is certain: Nickelback will not be a part of the 1,000th episode of Raw.

So, I guess we will have to wait and see what happens with Green Day's Raw appearance. Ultimately, this will be a jam-packed night, full of tons of entertainment.
