NHL players are supposed to have cuts on their face from errant high sticks, bruises left by pucks and broken noses from fights. NHL players are not supposed to be dapper individuals with style, poise and charming good looks.

These individuals haven broken the mould and the stereotype associated with most hockey players. Not only are these players tough, but they are also players who have the looks to earn the nickname "pretty boy."

Rick DiPietro

Rick DiPietro has been limited by many nagging injuries so far during his NHL career. He was billed as a future All-Star netminder when he was drafted, and it is unfortunate that he hasn't been able to catch a break.

However, good looks and a natural swagger is something that the often injured goalie has on his side, so if an NHL career isn't in the cards for DiPietro, at least he could become a model.

Mike Richards

Mike Richards is a dapper individual who dresses well. He was featured on the NHL Network's NHL 36, and picking out a suitable wardrobe was something that the Stanley Cup champion took a lot of pride in.

Richards is a man who like to enjoy the finer things in life. along with his buddy Jeff Carter.

Henrik Lundqvist

If someone told you that Henrik Lundqvist was secretly Batman, odds are you would believe them. He has the knockout looks, the fine suits, the money and the fast cars—he lives the lifestyle.

In reality he may not be the "Caped Crusader," but he is Gotham's "Crease Crusader," and that is very important to Gotham and its army of New York Ranger fans.

Joffrey Lupul

Joffrey Lupul had a solid bounce-back season for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Not only did Lupul look good on the ice, but he impresses off the ice. Lupul is a player who dresses well, and it is good to know that his millions of dollars are being spent well.

Lupul appears to have finally settled down and has a home in Toronto after being involved in many trades earlier in his career.

Jonathan Toews

This man is a Stanley Cup champion, an Olympic gold medalist and one of the youngest captains in NHL history.

He is Jonathan Toews, and he not only impresses the fans of Chicago on the ice, but he also makes the ladies of Chicago blush off the ice. It is safe to say that Toews really is living the dream of an NHL superstar.

Zach Parise

When this picture was taken back in 2009, Parise was making $3 million a year. In the next three years, Parise will make $35 million.

It is safe to say that this NHL pretty boy can splurge on some luxury menswear for himself and the rest of his new Minnesota Wild teammates.

Patrick Sharp

Patrick Sharp is an outstanding two-way player who had a great year with the Chicago Blackhawks. Jonathan Toews often shines off the ice with his dapper dress and youthful looks, but Sharp is no slouch when it comes to impressing in snazzy suits.

Brad Richards

Brad Richards is another athlete who enjoys life off the ice. He signed a mega-deal with the New York Rangers and enjoys wearing fancy suits.

He has the money to splurge on suits like this, and when he isn't modeling or wearing fine menswear, you can find Richards on a golf course relaxing and fine-tuning his short game.

Alex Edler

Alex Edler is another Swede in the NHL blessed with amazing looks. Edler has a well-trimmed beard and a solid haircut; he obviously cares about his appearance both on and off the ice.

I wonder there is something that is in the water in Sweden that enables players like Edler, Henrik Lundqvist, Gabriel Landeskog and assorted others to look the way they do.

Gabriel Landeskog

What is there not to love about Gabriel Landeskog? He is a Calder Trophy winner, he had an amazing rookie year, he is a great two-way player, he has a million dollar smile and he is a snazzy dresser.

Landeskog is the complete package, and if he grew a beard he could become a younger-looking Henrik Lundqvist.

Carl Hagelin

Carl Hagelin is another young Swede who seems to have it all. He has the flow, he has the speed and he has the charming look that makes fans swoon.

Hagelin is a young player that could have a future in modeling once his career is over.

Carey Price

Carey Price is another player who may be a surprise for this list. He is a goaltender, so he is always wearing a mask that shields his face.

Price is a player who is one of the NHL's unknown pretty boys. Price is the future of the Montreal Canadiens, and he signed a hefty extension this summer.

Patrice Bergeron

Patrice Bergeron has a lot going for him. Not only does he have natural good looks, but Bergeron is a Stanley Cup champion and a Frank J. Selke trophy winner.

Bergeron has the ability to dominate two-way play on the ice, and he can dress in dapper fashion off the ice.

Erik Karlsson

Erik Karlsson is another Swede who has made the list. It is no longer a coincidence but a trend. This defenseman won the Norris Trophy as the league's top defenseman in 2011-12 and wore this suit to the NHL Awards.

Not many men can pull pink off, but Karlsson wears the color well.

John Tavares

John Tavares is a shining star for the New York Islanders. He is a future star in the NHL, and he was an All-Star this season. He also is a good-looking athlete who was able to show off that side during the photo shoot of All-Star weekend.

Bobby Ryan

When Bobby Ryan isn't unhappy with his situation in Anaheim, he is wearing suits like this. Ryan is a young and very talented 30-goal scorer who has been the subject of trade rumors recently. Nonetheless, Ryan is a pretty boy who has charming looks.

Steven Stamkos

Steven Stamkos is slowly becoming a face of the NHL. A natural goal scorer who hit the 60-goal plateau in 2011-12, he is a respectable dresser and has charming looks. He is the current face of the Tampa Bay Lightning and will likely sport a captain's C once Vinny Lecavalier retires.

Jeff Carter

Jeff Carter didn't always have a smile on his face. He started the 2011-12 with the Columbus Blue Jackets and was very unhappy. He was traded to the Los Angeles Kings at the deadline and went on to win the Stanley Cup.

Carter was very happy, and he likely partied the night away in a suit like this with his best friend, Mike Richards.

Shea Weber

Hi-res-146608179_display_image

Shea Weber is a tall and physical player who has good looks. He recently signed an offer sheet with the Philadelphia Flyers, and he will make a lot of money no matter what happens.

Weber is dressed quite nicely in this picture, and with all the money coming his way, he will be able to buy as many as he wants in the future.

Tyler Seguin

Tyler Seguin really does have it all. Not only is he one of the NHL's up-and-coming stars and a Stanley Cup champion, but Seguin has amazing looks that make girls fawn over him.

Seguin was an All-Star this year, so you can add that to the list of things that are completely going for this young star.
