2012 USL PRO Power Rankings: Week 16

In this week's USL PRO Power Rankings, those Lions from Orlando City remain at the top, while the Dayton Dutch Lions have a trying weekend on their schedule. Los Angeles and Antigua Barracuda are off this week but will be back in action this weekend.

Here are this week's USL PRO Power Rankings.

1. Orlando City

Adrian Heath's Orlando City flexed their muscles in a 2-1 victory over the Charleston Battery on Thursday at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, SC. Matt Luzunaris brought the match on level terms in the 90th minute and in stoppage time, Ian Fuller completed the rally.

Orlando has a couple of matches this week. On July 25 they face the Wilmington Hammerheads at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, FL. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. July 27 they take on the Battery again at the Citrus Bowl. Kickoff is also scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

2. Richmond Kickers

Leigh Cowlishaw's Richmond Kickers shut out the Dayton Dutch Lions 2-0 at City Stadium in Richmond, VA. Ryan Heins opened up the scoring in the 11th minute, while Matthew Delicâte became the Kickers' all-time leading goal scorer on a 90th minute penalty.

Richmond's next contest is on July 27 against the Charlotte Eagles at Charlotte Christian Stadium in Charlotte, NC. On July 28, the Kickers host the Eagles at City Stadium. Both matches kick off at 7 p.m. ET.

3. Charlotte Eagles

Saturday's match between the Wilmington Hammerheads and Mark Steffens's Charlotte Eagles was postponed due to inclement weather. 

This weekend, the Eagles have a two-game series with the Richmond Kickers. The July 27 match will take place at Charlotte Christian Stadium and the July 28 match taking pace at City Stadium. Both matches start at 7 p.m. ET.

4. Wilmington Hammerheads

David Irving's Wilmington Hammerheads shut out the Dayton Dutch Lions, 2-0, at Legion Stadium in Wilmington, DE on Friday. Dylan Riley opened up the scoring in the third minute, while Cody Arnoux doubled the advantage nine minutes in. The Hammers also had a game with the Charlotte Eagles on Saturday but it was postponed due to inclement weather.

Wilmington travel to the Florida Citrus Bowl on July 25 to face Orlando City. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

5. Harrisburg City Islanders

Bill Becher's Harrisburg City Islanders shut out the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, 2-0, at Chartiers Valley High School in Bridgeville, PA on Friday. Tom Mellor opened the scoring in the fourth minute while Lucky Mkosano put the game out of reach in the 85th minute of play.

Harrisburg continue their season on July 28 against the Los Angeles Blues at the Skyline Sports Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

6. Rochester Rhinos

Jesse Myers's Rochester Rhinos flattened the Pittsburgh Riverhounds 2-0 at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester on Saturday. J.C. Banks opened up the scoring in the 10th minute while Andrew Hoxie doubled the advantage in the 77th minute of play.

The Rhinos continue their season on July 27 when they host the Los Angeles Blues. Kickoff at Sahlen's Stadium is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. ET.

7. Los Angeles Blues

Charlie Naimo's Los Angeles Blues were off this week.

Los Angeles continues their season on July 27 when they face the Rochester Rhinos at Sahleh's Stadium in Rochester, NY Kickoff is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. ET. The match is the first of three matches in five days for the Blues.

On July 28, L.A. takes on the Harrisburg City Islanders at the Skyline Sports Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. The Blues end the month on Tuesday, July 31 when they take on the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Chartiers Valley High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

8. Charleston Battery

Michael Anhaeuser's Charleston Battery were mugged by Orlando City, 2-1, at Blackbaud Stadium. It seemed as if Jose Cuevas's 64th minute goal was going to hold up but Charleston could not hold on late.

Charleston gets another crack at the Lions on July 27 at the Florida Citrus Bowl. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

9. Dayton Dutch Lions

Ivar van Dinteren's Dayton Dutch Lions dropped a couple of 2-0 defeats to the Wilmington Hammerheads and Richmond Kickers and will look to bounce back this weekend against Antigua Barracuda FC on July 29. Kickoff at Bellbrook High School in Bellbrook, OH is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

10. Pittsburgh Riverhounds

A couple of 2-0 shutout defeats to the Harrisburg City Islanders and Rochester Rhinos were all that Justin Evans's Pittsburgh Riverhounds could muster.

A couple of matches are in the works this week for the Hounds. On July 27, they host Antigua Barracuda FC at Chartiers Valley High School. On July 31, Pittsburgh host the Los Angeles Blues. Kickoff for both matches is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

11. Antigua Barracuda

Tom Curtis's Antigua Barracuda FC were off this week.

Antigua continue their season on the road on July 27 when they face the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Chartiers Valley High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. The Barracudas will then take on the Dayton Dutch Lions at Bellbrook High School on July 29. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
