The Washington Nationals optioned left-hander John Lannan to Triple-A Syracuse despite registering a win against the Atlanta Braves on Saturday.

Lannan was recalled for Saturday's doubleheader against the Braves and earned a win in the nightcap. He allowed two earned runs, five hits, two walks and three strikeouts in seven innings.
