What's the Nationals' Best Option to Manage Stephen Strasburg's Innings?
The Washington Nationals have what we call a great kind of problem, being tasked with shutting down an ace pitcher on their way to the playoffs.
But is it the right call?
General manager Mike Rizzo came out on Thursday to declare he would definitely be shutting down Stephen Strasburg at some point this season, the only question was when and at what inning total.
As with any difficult decision, there is a great debate that surrounds. Rizzo may have settled on shutting down the ace for a run in future years, but we have it in our minds that a great many things could have been better options.
Bleacher Report's Zach Rymer and Gabe Zaldivar explore suggestions for the Nationals rotation, and they range from the logically sound to the utterly bizarre.
Of course, this is just the start of something good, because the best part is the debate had with baseball fans.
Sound off with your suggestions and whether you think it's the right thing to shut down the awesome arm of Stephen Strasburg.
