How Good Can the Bulls Be Next Season Without Derrick Rose?
The Chicago Bulls are hard to figure, as they are injured and depleted but also well-coached. This is quite the conundrum for anyone attempting to handicap a Chicago season.
They've been the Eastern Conference's second-best team (first best, record-wise) these past two seasons, but we may witness a significant downturn in Tom Thibodeau's third year.
Even the biggest Thibodeau fan would have to acknowledge that he will be tested. Derrick Rose will be out much of the year due to a serious knee injury, and the Bulls—quite the bench-dependent squad—are losing bench players to free agency.
Chicago is about to face, perhaps, its most trying adjustment since Michael Jordan left the game.
