So the 2012 London Summer Olympics will not be as awesome as they could have been, and that has everything to do with Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke not being there.
We first spotted the 19-year-old and a version of this video over at With Leather. Unfortunately, that version, which was just a recording of the live feed from the 2012 Barcelona World Junior Championships, was taken down.
In its place is this overt celebration of Jenneke and her dancing and running presented in gratuitous slow motion, and with an awful song over it.
As you quickly see, she is our kind of people. The Aussie hurdler looks absolutely smitten with the fact she is doing what she loves for the pride of her countrymen.
That sounds like exactly the kind of person you want to see in the Olympics.
As Big Lead Sports tells us, the best chance the international crowd has of seeing more of her is at Rio 2016.
It's a shame because she smokes everyone in this particular heat and then goes on to hug the rest of her competitors, via With Leather.
She is beautiful, engaging and gracious. The fact that she is also brilliant at the hurdles makes me smile, because I know we will see more of her in four years.
