TNA Wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan posted a video message to fans about his most recent surgery. Hogan, who went under the knife once again, informed fans that everything is going well and thanked them for their support. Jimmy Hart was also featured in the short clip.

On last week's TNA Impact! Wrestling, Hogan was attacked by a group of masked men backstage, who then proceeded to do the same to Sting as the show closed.

In other TNA news, World Heavyweight champion Austin Aries has officially signed a new, long-term contract with the company. TNA President Dixie Carter made the announcement on her official Twitter page.

Carter also appeared on TNA Today to discuss the contract signing with host Jeremy Borash.

My Quick Take:

First on the Hulk Hogan issue. Hogan has had his share of surgeries, and hopefully this will be the final one. I do not think we will see him again in the ring unless there is a major event or storyline he is in. After watching last week's Impact! Wrestling, it appears Hogan has been written off television temporarily after being attacked backstage.

The signing of Austin Aries is terrific for TNA. Aries is such a talented performer who has great in-ring skills and is a very entertaining on the microphone. I hope TNA gives Aries a good title run and has him going into Bound for Glory. He certainly deserves that.
