Jesse Lumsden Signs with Edmonton Eskimos

Giants27Analyst IFebruary 18, 2009

Edmonton native Jesse Lumsden is returning home after signing a one year deal with an option for a second year.

The former Tiger-Cat had garnered interest from the Argonauts, Blue Bombers and Tiger-Cats.

But the speedy back wanted to go home and will be bringing his 1,797 yards, and nine TDs to Edmonton.

Lumsden will look to become the Eskimos third rusher to go for 1,000 yards in year with their latest 1,000 yard rusher being Troy Davis in 2006.

Jesse's father Neil was also a member of the Eskimos.
