Albert Haynesworth: Anyone Need a DT?

mathieu koziczContributor IFebruary 18, 2009

For those of you that are reading this article who do not yet know, Albert Haynesworth stated earlier today that he will not re-sign with the Titans before he tests the free agency.

This should be good news to anyone who drinks Starbucks coffee, lives in the very northwest corner of the country, and and gets so much rain they think an umbrella is an extension of the right arm (yes Seattle, I'm talking about you). Other than them, here are some teams that might be interested in Haynesworth.

I think the Colts should be intrigued by the possibility of getting Haynesworth; production has been down at DT for Indy. Also, Freeney-Haynesworth-Mathis. Any questions asked?

I also think Buffalo should take notice. The trade that gave them Marcus Stroud was kind of a bust, and I think Albert could help him, along with DE Aaron Schobel. He could also help Paul Posluszny make plays in the middle.

The final team that desperately needs some hope on defense (and everywhere else) is the Detroit Lions. I think he has a better chance of coming here because his former defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz, is the new head coach there. For anyone in Detroit still mourning the loss of Shaun Rogers, this is your man.
