In the WWE there are nine belts that are held which can be won which is what these power rankings are based on. I have decided that every couple weeks I am going to rank the belts ratings on three thinks the holder, contenders, and value. I will also have an overall status grade on how good the title is overall. Right now we are in the midst of the road to Wrestlemania, following a terrific No Way Out pay per view. So here are the rankings.
9. Divas Championship
Holder : Maryse
Contenders : Michelle McCool, Maria, and possibly Eve
Value : Extremely Low, Not worthy of WWE status WWE should bring back the cruiserweight title instead. If Natalia, and Mickie James become contenders I have a feeling it will survive for awhile.
Overall Status Grade : D+
8. United States Championship
Holder : Shelton Benjamin
Contenders : MVP, Chavo Guerrero, Umaga
Value : Low, The title needs some better contenders to stay alive. Make the MVP-Benjamin feud a little more interesting. Maybe bring Evan Bourne to Smackdown, and have him become a contender. I think it will grow in value over the next two weeks.
Overall Status Grade : C but likely to improve
7. ECW Championship
Holder : Jack Swagger
Contenders : Finlay, Christian, Mark Henry,Evan Bourne, and Tommy Dreamer
Value : Low, it has the talent, all it needs is the extreme. If ECW can be a more important brand in the WWE it will go up in value.
Overall Status Grade : B-
6. WWE Tag Team Titles
Holders : Primo and Carlito
Contenders : Jesse and Festus, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins I guess ??
Value : Low, it needs some more tag team contenders. Maybe Kofi Kingston and R Truth, or Manu, and Umaga but either way it needs more value.
Overall Status Grade : C+
5. World Tag Team Titles
Holders : John Morrison and the Miz
Contenders : Cryme Tyme, Priceless
Value : Medium, it has some good contenders, and is the most coveted tag team title in wrestling.
Overall Status Grade : B-
4. Intercontinental Championship
Holder : CM Punk
Contenders : William Regal, Kofi Kingston
Value : Medium, since the arrival of the world heavyweight title the intercontinental titles value has gone down slightly, and barely has any contenders. If CM Punk can spark a rivalry with Chris Jericho instead of the untalented William Regal I think the value will go up once again.
Overall Status Grade : B
3. Women's Championship
Holder : Melina amazingly
Contenders : Beth Phoenix, Santino Marrela,
Value : High, the most coveted women's title that will soon go to Beth Phoenix who has revolutionized the title.
Overall Status Grade : B+
2. World Heavyweigt Championship
Holder : Edge!!!!!!!!!!
Contenders : John Cena, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton
Value : Very high, only the best of the best get this title, and WWE has put on a real spin to things.
Overall Status Grade : A
