Chicago, here is your Bears' quarterback, and I am sorry. A great town like yours really deserves a bit more passion from one of the biggest sports stars in the Second City. Then again, it's a little silly to expect Jay Cutler to deliver anything north of a human condition I can only describe as mopey.
The seven dwarfs may have just found their eighth, if they so desire.
Another seventh-inning stretch at Wrigley Field demanded another celebrity to lead the chorus of raucous fans.
It's just too bad it was Cutler's turn.
The Chicago Bears quarterback gave what can only be described as feigned apathy for his rendition of the famous song, "Take Me out to the Ballgame."
I'm not sure if he has an issue with Cracker Jacks, peanuts or the crowd, but he certainly looks like a man who was forced to sing to the masses.
If we are being honest, he could have sung the song while asleep and been more successful.
Cutler is a famous quarterback playing for a storied franchise, is revered in Chicago and yet he looks like he is being asked to do someone's taxes.
This song is only sung correctly in the key of obnoxiously loud. If you are asked to sing it in Wrigley, at least do it right. If you aren't going to own the song, just pass the mic to some drunk fan. At least it will be semi-interesting.
