The City of Glendale, where the Coyotes play, have played a significant part in rallying the interest from potential buyers. There are believed to be as many as two other possible parties who are serious about putting in an offer to buy the team.
I personally think this is great for the City of Phoenix and all of the Coyotes' fans. The team is struggling both on and off the ice right now. They have gone 2-8 in their last 10 games. Hopefully, after all this is settled, they can put all of their attention on the ice, as it should be.
There are also rumors going around that the Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney is only being allowed to offer one-year deals to the Coyotes' restricted free agents. Hopefully this news changes that.
Coyotes' restricted free agent Derek Morris has already stated that if he only get a one-year deal, he won't accept because at this point in his career he is ready for a long-term commitment.
