The Buffalo Sabres continued their assault on the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight with a decisive 4-1 win at the ACC in Toronto.

Toronto came out rolling and controlling most of the first period of play. Buffalo was not able to muster a shot on Toronto goaltender Justin Pogge until nine minutes into the first period. It was then the floodgates opened for the Sabres.

Buffalo scored three first-period goals on their first five shots against Pogge. Pogge would settle down in the second period to try and hold Toronto in the game.

But the Leafs could not match Buffalo's strong play through period two and three and found themselves on the wrong side of a 4-1 loss.

Buffalo had an all-around great game from all four lines tonight as well as the defense after the first period. Goaltender Ryan Miller kept Buffalo in the game through the first period as the Sabres tried to find their legs.

The Sabres will be back on the road traveling to Philadelphia to take on the hated Flyers on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
