TMZ is reporting that Charlie Sheen is over Twitter:

Sources close to the former warlock say @charliesheen will close up shop within days, or possibly mere hours ... because Charlie feels like he's not getting anything out of the social network. No offense to his 7,707,791 followers, we're sure.

Ultimately, this is either a great ploy by Charlie Sheen, or the WWE may really have to worry about its 1,000th-episode tweets.

I have to wonder if the WWE has a backup plan in store, just in case Sheen decided to pull any shenanigans. I personally never understood why the company was using Sheen to begin with.

The fact is, outside of this appearance probably being paid for by FX, there really is no wrestling tie-in here.

To me, the WWE would have gotten a bigger pop if it used Stone Cold, Zack Ryder or The Rock. Let's face it—even John Cena would have been a better choice.

In the end, I guess we will have to wait and see if Sheen actually closes his account or if he was just using this to get people talking about him.

In the end, if I were the WWE, I would be looking for a backup plan ASAP.
