Indianapolis Colts: Best & Worst Case Scenarios for 2012

Times were tough in Indianapolis during the 2011 NFL season. The hope is the Colts will see a turnaround in 2012 with new management and new coaches.

Oh, yeah, and they drafted the best quarterback prospect of the last 25 years.

Rookie Andrew Luck will be asked to take over for future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning, and those are big shoes to fill for No. 12. Luck is talented, but the team around him isn't as loaded as Colts fans may be used to seeing. A tough year is in order for Luck and the Colts offense.

The defense will be better than expected, at least on paper. The addition of Cory Redding can't be emphasized enough, and the 3-4 defense should allow Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney to attack on every down.

Will it be enough, though? NFL experts Aaron Nagler, Josh Zerkle, Dan Levy and myself break it down for you.
