Call Me Maybe Video: Watch Crystal Palace FC Promotion with Bikini-Clad Beauties

London football team Crystal Palace FC is trying to sell season tickets.  To do so, they created a mash-up that includes cheerleaders in bikinis and that infernal Call Me Maybe song.

Big Lead Sports found this juicy video of cheerleaders getting their lip-sync on for a English Championship League team.

I have pretty much resigned myself to the fact Call Me Maybe will be something I cover until the day I die.

I thought the fad of parody songs would perish with a whimper, but we have a bit of an uptick with Cookie Monster, Big Ten and now a football club getting in on the act.

With a battered heart, I give you this next installment of the Carly Rae Jepsen song that, like zombies, vampires and things that go bump in the night, is unrelenting and unable to be killed.

At the very least it's presented in the only acceptable way other than humor, with woman in bikinis simply lip-syncing along.

Like a really cold beer, it's simple and refreshing.

If you consider this a bit desperate, you may be right. Crystal Palace placed 17th in the Championship and was a mere few spots away from relegation to the dreaded League 1.

I am guessing marketing were tasked with getting rather creative with a promotion spot, and looked to what they felt was a craze across the pond.

I would agree, because Call Me Maybe videos and the people who create them are insane.
