Top 5 Questions Going Forward After Raw

1 of 6

Two Raws in a row that end on AJ?

Tonight, we witnessed Bob Backlund, Sherlock Marella and the Anonymous GM's return!

As I do every Monday night following Raw, I present the top questions going forward. These questions are meant to stimulate conversation and give us pause so we can examine current storylines.

    Shall we have at it?

Why Did the John Cena Match End?

2 of 6

Is preventing John Cena from winning a disqualification now?

Obviously the match was meant to be an appetizer for this Sunday, but it would still be nice if the match adhered to normal rules.

In case you missed it, John Cena was pinning Chris Jericho when the Big Show, Jericho’s tag team partner, broke up the pin. Moments later the bell rang and the match was declared a “no contest.”

I am not sure if the the writers are just getting lazy or if they just feel like we are so brainless that we will not notice such things anymore. Either way I took the end as an insult to my intelligence as a fan.

How did you feel after the match ended?

Are Kane and Chris Jericho Just Filler?

3 of 6

Does anyone else feel like Chris Jericho and Kane are just being used as filler in the WWE title MITB match?

John Cena continues to target the Big Show despite no one really caring about their “feud.” Apparently beating the Big Show at the last pay-per-view does not constitute as “stopping the Big Show.”

Lost in this meaningless feud are the roles of Chris Jericho and Kane. Neither of them has done anything to separate themselves as possible contenders in this match. The truth is that I really do not believe either of them have a chance at winning this match.

Personally I have never felt so confident in a prediction for a WWE match in my life. John Cena is going to win this and no one can tell me otherwise.

The only reason I am not throwing Big Show in with Kane and Jericho for having no shot is because of his recent push. I am not sure if the WWE is trying to duplicate Mark Henry’s dominance last year with Show or not, but they are trying to make him look like some sort of threat. Still, I do not believe he will win the match.

When you only have four superstars as opposed to six or eight then it makes the match seem more predictable. Cena seems to me to be the obvious and only choice to win this match.

Who do you think will win the WWE championship Money in the Bank match?

Did Anyone Believe Heath Slater would Win a MITB Qualifier?

4 of 6

    No.

When your entrance is not televised you probably are not going to win a qualifying match. I am just saying.

I am starting to feel bad for Slater. I do not think all of these beatings by WWE legends will ever lead to something more promising. Heath Slater seems to be getting used and then I believe he will fade back into oblivion after the 1000th episode of Raw.

Tonight it was Bob Backlund who publicly humiliated Slater. Some may not get excited for Mr. Backlund, but I found his tribute appropriate.

Backlund was a great WWE champion prior to the birth of Hulkamania. He also filled a void in the Nineties by playing a very believable nut job that feuded with Bret Hart for a period of time.

Backlund ended his career tonight with a win over Heath Slater.

Slater’s career ended months ago and no one told him.

Who Voted “Yes” to See Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole?

5 of 6

Michael Cole said it best when he declared “no one wants to see me wrestle.”

I want to know who voted “Yes” to see Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler wrestle tonight. Please explain to me and everyone else why you would want to see these two go at it AGAIN in the comment section below.

The best part is that apparently 75% of the people who voted wanted to see Cole and Lawler fight. I know the poll was rigged, but 75% even seems high to me!

The truth is that Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole’s role in the WWE is starting to become my number one pet peeve. I am not a fan of them as a commentary duo anyway, but I get disgusted when they take even more TV time away from the people who deserve it.

Does anyone enjoy watching Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler in the ring?

Who will be the WWE Champion After Sunday?

6 of 6

I still do not know and I love it.

The unpredictability of this storyline has been fantastic. Every time I think I know what is going to happen the WWE swerves me. If only all of their writing could be this exciting.

A lot of people have theories as to what the outcome will be this Sunday, but I do not think anyone truly knows. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are at the mercy of the very erratic AJ. As the special guest referee she will be playing a direct role in the outcome of the match.

Thus far it has been hard to get a read on who she will be favoring, if anyone at all.

If I have to make a guess I think that CM Punk will come out the champion. I believe the WWE is going to have Punk and John Cena fight for the title at SummerSlam so I have to go with my gut here.

I would like to hear everyone’s predictions though. Who do you think will be the WWE champion after next Sunday?

Tell me below in the comment section and list the questions that came out of Raw for you as well. Also remember to follow me on Twitter @ClassicJoeyMac.
