Count the Subway sandwich chain among the millions of Eric LeGrand admirers.

The Associated Press (h/t CBS New York) reported on Monday that LeGrand has a new gig. He has joined the Subway team alongside Justin Tuck of the New York Giants, and the two will appear in commercials together during football season this fall.

The commercials were shot over the past few weeks, and LeGrand joins a team of athletes involved with the Subway brand, including Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps.

"We believe his inspirational story resonates with our fans. All of our athletes who know Eric are already rooting for him. Like us, they love his character, determination and positive outlook," Tom Pace, Subway's marketing office, said.

The Bucs signed LeGrand to a free-agent contract, and he is a rostered member of the team going into summer camp.
