Just in case you missed this stellar matchup between possibly two of the best teams in all of college basketball, here is a brief recap for you!

No. 4 Pitt took charge of the first half of the game, highly due to the outstanding performance of 6'6" power forward DeJuan Blair. He bullied UConn's big man, Hasheem Thabeet, during the entire half and entered intermission with a double-double.

The second half was probably the most intense and electrifying period that I have seen so far this season. With three minutes left and the score tied at 61-61, Pitt's starting point guard Levance Fields knocked down back-to-back three-pointers, putting the Panthers up 67-61.

With less than two minutes left, UConn guard Kemba Walker stole the ball from Fields, driving to the hoop for the easy lay-in and cutting the lead to 67-63.

Pitt managed to keep top-ranked UConn from getting back into the game and Thabeet fouled out, ending the fabulous matchup with a final score of 76-68, giving the Panthers their first win over a No. 1 team in program history.
