On Sunday, July 8, TNA Wrestling presented Destination X on pay-per-view from the Impact! Zone in Orlando, Fla. Destination X was headlined by Austin Aries and Bobby Roode fighting for the TNA Heavyweight Title. There was also a new winner for the X Division belt.

Rubix vs. Mason Andrews versus Lars Only versus Dakota Darsow (X Division Tournament Last Qualifier Match)

Your winner, Mason Andrews.

Kid Kash vs. Mason Andrews (X Division Tournament Match)

Your winner, Mason Andrews.

My take: Glad to see Kash back wrestling. Mason performing in two straight matches with no break and winning them was impressive. I would agree with this decision to have Mason go on for the X Division title. Mason is a young, talented wrestler.

Douglas Williams vs. Kenny King (X Division Tournament Match)

Your winner, Kenny King.

My take: TNA was right to allow Andrews and King to advance. Having Kash or Williams just step in and win would have not been the most popular choice, but it gives their win more credibility by defeating two wrestlers who have had success in TNA.

Sonjay Dutt vs. Rashad Cameron (X Division Tournament Match)

Your winner, Sonjay Dutt.

My take: Good match. I had a feeling Dutt would be winning this one to advance. In the end, I would love to see TNA feature more of these wrestlers who competed in the tournament matches. Most of the features have been entertaining to watch.

Jesse Sorensen returns

My take: Once Sorensen is healthy, I predict that TNA will set him in a feud with Ion.

Zema Ion vs. Flip Casanova

Your winner, Zema Ion.

My take: Quicker match. I liked Casanova's in ring work on an edition of Impact! but was a bit disappointed to see him lose to Ion. I do see potential in Ion, but it has not struck me yet.

Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle (Bound For Glory Series Match)

Your winner, Samoa Joe.

My take: Joe and Angle has a very good match tonight. One thing that they can do so well is their chemistry in the ring. Both have also had feuds that TNA fans certainly remember. Suddenly with the submission win, Joe is on his way to lead the Bound For Glory Series.

AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels

Your winner, AJ Styles.

My take: How many times do wrestling fans witness Styles and Daniels in a match? Plenty of times—and most of them, if not all, are memorable. No different with this match.

Mason Andrews vs. Zema Ion versus Kenny King vs. Sonjay Dutt for TNA X Division Title in an Ultimate X Match

Your winner and new champion, Zema Ion.

My take: Not the biggest fan of having Ion as champion. It certainly was not a feel-good moment. It appears TNA is taking Ion on a heel run as the X Division champion.

Austin Aries vs. Bobby Roode for the TNA Heavyweight Title

Your winner and new champion, Austin Aries.

My take: That was one of the finest matches I have watched in quite some time. An excellent, feel-good ending for everyone who rooted for Aries. I did not expect a victory by Aries, and thought Roode would dominate the TNA scene till Bound For Glory. Great ending for Destination X.

Overall TNA Destination X PPV Rating: 3.5/5

This was a pay-per-view that I would recommend watching. Lots of X Division matches with a whole string of moves. Although the Ultimate X match was a disappointment in Ion winning, that quickly evaporated when Austin Aries became the new TNA World Champion. Aries becoming the new face of TNA changes the whole complexity of the game.
