There are more famous WAGs in sports than Kim Sears. Shakira, Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima, Victoria Beckham and Carrie Underwood all come to mind.

But few have been around longer or catch the eye quite like the lovely Sears. Emma Clark of the Daily Mail has your background information:

The 24-year-old has followed Murray across the globe supporting him in his championship matches in an admirable show of affection.

Kim, the daughter of tennis coach Nigel Sears, met Murray at the 2005 US Open when she was just 17 and studying for her A levels in drama, music and art.

She subsequently got straight As and went on to study English Literature at the University of Sussex in Brighton.

But the 24-year-old is no idle WAG. With a background in art, Sears now paints portraits of pets, which are quite good and can be found at her website. She even has a humorous Twitter account for her dog, Maggie May, so yeah, she really likes dogs.

In 2009, the couple briefly split up but reunited six months later. Perhaps Mr. Murray was taking his often dour attitude on the court off of it as well.

The British tabloids have taken pleasure comparing the fashion sense of Sears to Kate Middleton during Wimbledon, as the two have apparently turned heads with their stylish choices of apparel. Then again, I think the British tabloids probably use any excuse they can to run Middleton's name in a headline.

If you happen to be watching Wimbledon and they cut to the crowd and the lovely lady with striking eyes, that will be Sears. She'll likely be hanging on every point and rooting Mr. Murray along.

And every once in a while, thinking about dogs.
